Do you wonder where we headed off next? The answer is very clear, it’s a restaurant! We had to gain strength to carry on the trip for the rest of the day so we needed a good descent lunch. There were not many choices in this place; we had lunch in one of the restaurant that looked heavily depend on tourism. We had chorba (kind of Mediterranean traditional soup) as appetizer and Kuskus d’agneau as main course.
As we continued the journey after lunch, we started to feel the strength of Sahara sunshine. Even on May, when summer has not officially started, the midday heat felt so intense that made me feeling tired. Car with working air conditioner is a must… and bottles of water, of course. Sa’if offered me to see the abandoned old town of Tamarza which was abandoned after flood in 1969. After visiting similar abandoned town in Chebika and seeing prospect that we would again soaking in sweat, the offer became least interesting so I declined the offer (do I hear boo here?). Within short trip after lunch we arrived at Grand Cascade of Tamarza. As shown by the name, it’s a waterfall in the middle of the canyon desert. Though word Grand seems a little bit exaggerating. Since there is no rain at this time of the year the stream that fed the waterfall was so small. Thus the view was also not so spectacular. I have to admit that I am little bit disappointed. After colossal view in Chebika and Mides, I started to expect the same level of amazement
